Comments from teachers and parents

It was such a pleasure to have you here at Jack London. Your grasp of art concepts and how best to teach young children was a joy to watch.

What we appreciate most about Nancy is her excellent teaching skill and how each child no matter how young is able to apply the concept being taught to their work. But best of all our students are so engaged in their art projects and are developing a lifelong appreciation of the fine arts and all that has to offer.

For a long time I’ve appreciated your expertise and creativity as a professional artist. I am pleased that both my boys have an opportunity to benefit from your experience. Since the program has started, I’ve heard dozens of stories about various artists you’ve discussed with them. My kids as well as others at the school are excited about learning the life of a famous artist and having the opportunity to imitate his or her art style. They really speak of your patience and how helpful you are with them. Also, I’ve spoken with several parents and staff members who are impressed with the program and pleased with the children’s artwork.
I feel strongly that the work you’re doing with the kids is an important contribution to the enrichment of their minds and will go a long way towards further developing their learning capacity and appreciation of life’s finer elements.
